We’re not a jam band, but we soundcheck soundchecks are band practice, and we move things and change them, so it’s evolving. I think our audience is very young, and they take our music and they make it part of their playlists now. “I look at it as this thing that I take part in with the audience. “It’s kind of a mystery to me,” Jenkins recently told Rolling Stone, describing the resurgence they’ve seen since 2015’s Dopamine. The group just announced a fall tour, kicking off November 8 th in New Hampshire. This fall, the band will be bringing those songs on the road.

The Private Lives of Liza Minnelli (The Rainbow Ends Here) They teamed up with friends like Alexis Krauss of Sleigh Bells (who sings on the title track) and Billy Corgan, who is described as the album’s “musical consigliere.” “We have always been so insular,” said Jenkins, “and on Screamer we adopted an open door policy – come in, be musical, and follow the song where it takes us.” That changes this fall, when the band finally release their seventh Screamer, out October 18 th. It’s actually one of the bigger tours we’ve ever done. “And yet our people have just really shown up. “We didn’t think we could sustain a tour without new music,” said Third Eye Blind frontman Stephan Jenkins at one recent tour stop. This tour felt different for the band members, because they originally thought they would have finished their first album in four years before embarking on the dates. The set list ended with the band ’ s famous song, “ Jumper, ” which left the crowd wanting more.Third Eye Blind just completed a successful summer run, bringing their platinum rock hits (“Semi-Charmed Life,” “How’s It Going to Be”) to outdoor spaces across the country alongside Jimmy Eat World. Brad not only played his drum kit but also rocked out on the electronic drum pad, which was programmed with different sound effects. Brad then was given a set amount of time (about 10 minutes) to perform a drum solo. Towards the end of the set list, Brad Hargreaves (drummer), was left on the stage as the rest of the band member exited. Between sets, the fans would converse with each other and, as the band was playing, they tried to interact with the crowd as much as they could though there was a barrier in the way. Third Eye Blind creates a sense of not only nostalgia, but a sense of belonging. Being considered pop rock and alternative rock, they play as if they were still in the heart of the ’ 90s. Third Eye Blind has a very definite sound in music. Third Eye Blind played songs from their newest album, Dopamine, along with their classic Top 40 songs. Stephan Jenkins (Lead Vocals) began to sing one of their classic songs, “ Graduate, ” which made the crowd nostalgic.

This only escalated when the guitar intro to their song “ Faster ” began. When Third Eye Blind came onto the stage the volume of the arena erupted into screams.

Dashboard has a great stage presence that electrifies the crowd and the crowd was beaming with excitement even through the rain. They went on to say that Chicago was their favorite place to perform and that the fans in this city are ones that not only sing back the lyrics to their songs, but scream them. They repeatedly mentioned to the crowd their love for their fans and that without them they wouldn ’ t be back on stage. They were even more passionate about the city of Chicago and their fans. The band was not only extremely passionate about their music. The mixing of these two styles of music allow for the band to have its own sound within the music industry. Dashboard Confessional is an Indie Rock band that also plays acoustically. Though the band only played their older music, the fans still loved them and could be heard screaming the lyrics back to the band ’ s lead singer, Chris Carrabba. When asked to open for Third Eye Blind, they couldn ’ t say no and jumped straight back into music which they told the crowd during their set. In 2010, the band decided that they wanted a break from the music industry to start their own lives.
